Chef Akila Reysan – Easy Baklawa  & Ground Lamb Bourak – 12:00PM 

 

Akila Reysan  is a self-described “not a chef but just a home cook who love to cook”. She enjoys trying new recipes sent by her sisters and friends from overseas. Her Mother and oldest sisters taught her how to cook and were the first who made her love cooking. Once she learned how to cook, she taught herself culinary techniques, with the aid of French, Italian and middle Eastern cookbooks. She also relied on intuition and feedback from friends and coworkers who liked her cooking. She refined recipes, mainly a few middle eastern and Mediterranean sweets and savory dishes.

Chef Jennifer Sohonie– Tabouleh Salad – 2:00PM 

Jennifer Sohonie is the Campus Director and Director of Education for Le Cordon Bleu Seattle. An alum of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts in Pasadena, CA, she is a Certified Culinary Educator and a Certified Executive Chef through the American Culinary Federation. Chef Sohonie’s culinary journey has taken her through catering, hotels and in fine dining restaurants in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Dallas.

Chef Didier Poirier—Moules Marinières—3:00 PM

Didier Porier was trained in Le Mans and Paris, France, has had over 20 years of experience in all types of French cuisine from traditional Gastronomique and Country through Nouvelle and Californian. He has been a chef at such top notch restaurants as Citrus, Fennel, and Patina in Los Angeles. Being from the French countryside, Didier’s real passion lies with the type of food that he enjoyed while growing up. He believes that people have come to appreciate and value this type of home style “comfort” food, fresh and seasonal like grandma used to prepare.
